Summer at Thanksgiving Point means an adventure like no other! This year, watch your child transform through fun learning experiences as they discover dinosaurs, create unique art, experiment with topics in STEM, and more! Children will connect with each other and the world around them while making new friends, exploring nature, and meeting the insects and animals that call Thanksgiving Point home. Don’t forget – Thanksgiving Point Members get exclusive Summer Day Camp registration during our Members-only pre-sale from March 1st-7th, as well as a 10% discount all season long.
Please Note: Beginning in 2023, lunches will no longer be served during Summer Day Camps. Campers must bring their own sack lunches that are free of peanuts and tree nuts. Snacks will still be served during camps.

After Camp Adventures
Campers of all ages can learn and explore in Thanksgiving Point’s venues with museum educators after their camps. Offered each day Monday through Friday, from 3:00-5:30pm. Enrollment in Summer Day Camps is required.

Golf Camps

Join us for a great week of golf for kids of all skill levels, ages 6-15. Campers will be able to learn and sharpen their skills with a strong emphasis on the fundamentals of iron play, driving, chipping, putting, rules & etiquette. We will also be focusing on fitness, STEM of Golf, and core values learned through playing the game.

Little Learner Day Camps for Preschool and Kindergarten children. Camps are 2 days and run from 9 am -12 pm on Mondays and Wednesday, or 12 pm – 3 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Camps are $95. Participants must be able to use the bathroom independently. Join us for the following topics:
Lunar Littles
Blast off into space with this out-of-this-world camp! As they explore the stars together, campers will train like space explorers and create astronomical artwork!

Pirate palooza
Campers will play as pirates while they explore in Water Works and go on an adventure to find treasure. As they hoist the sails and scrub the deck, they’ll develop social skills and learn to work as a team.

Little Entomologists
Gain a new appreciation for insects, arachnids, and butterflies while learning how mighty these tiny creatures really are. Campers will explore the Butterfly Biosphere learning all about bugs while engaging in games, imaginary play, and crafts.

Little Paleontologists
By exploring the Mountain America Museum of Ancient Life, campers will discover a variety of amazing dinosaurs. With hands-on activities they will learn about fossils and what it means to be a paleontologist. Through imaginative play they will investigate dinosaur habitats and behaviors.

Experience the engineering and design process. Campers will be encouraged to fail forward and problem solve. They’ll have the chance to build their own creations, test their theories, and tie engineering into their daily lives.

Nature Explorers
As Nature Explorers, campers will explore the great outdoors and learn about plants and critters. They’ll read stories, create art, and make new friends as they venture outside together.

Jr. Paleontologist
Discover dinosaurs in this fun camp. Campers will participate in hands-on activities to practice what paleontologists do, learn about the process of fossilization, what it takes to design a museum, and learn the secrets of some of the dinosaurs here at the Mountain America Museum of Ancient Life.

Jr. Maker
Come gather with fellow makers and learn together as you create unique projects and push the boundaries of your creativity! This camp will enhance creative and collaborative skills, and campers will bring home projects they made to show you what they accomplished!

Nature Investigator
Campers will enjoy a nature adventure while learning about Utah’s local environment. As they practice observation skills and learn about wildlife, they will participate in community science projects and connect the natural world to their lives.
Paleontology Experience
Explore paleontology in this camp. Through hands-on and immersive activities at the Mountain America Museum of Ancient Life, campers will learn more about dinosaurs, fossilization, and Utah’s ancient life.

Space Mission
Adventure through space! Campers will take a journey to the stars in this immersive camp. As they work together with their team, they’ll use STEM concepts and apply them to real life astronomy problems to help them on their expedition in outer space.

Autism Adventure (Grades 6-12)
Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) will grow and connect with their peers as they explore the Museum of Natural Curiosity. The adventure education process has a unique ability to develop increased social awareness and connection in children with ASD. The seven stages of adventure are name games, deinhibitizers, communication, problem solving- trust, low ropes, and then high ropes elements. Children with ASD will be guided through these seven stages to expand their social understanding and aptitude. Autism Adventure is $215 for June 12-16, and $195 for July 25-28.
Participants must be ages 11-18 (or entering grades 6-12 in Fall 2023), verbal, and able to use the restroom independently.

Makerspace Madness
A Makerspace is a place where creators can come together to share ideas, equipment, and knowledge. Campers will create a variety of projects using equipment and supplies in the Makerspace that show their creative skills
Mystery at the Biosphere
Problem solve in this insect adventure! Campers will use the Butterfly Biosphere as the canvas for their imagination. Working as a team, they’ll use STEM to solve mysteries and learn about the natural world.
STEM Mission
Discover and investigate! Campers will work together with other campers to solve a problem using science, technology, engineering, and math. As they combine these elements together, they’ll use critical thinking and teamwork skills.
Autism Adventure
A fun adventure for youth with autism, ages 11-18 (or entering grades 6th-12th in the fall of 2023). The camp runs either Monday – Friday or Tuesday – Friday from 9 am – 12 pm each day. Children will grow and connect with other children. Participants must be verbal, must be able to use the restroom independently. Autism Adventure is $215 for June 12-16, and $195 for July 25-28.

Little Learners are dropped off and picked up directly at their designated venue as specified in confirmation emails.

- Thanksgiving Point Institute does not issue refunds for Summer Day Camp registration.
- Transfers are permitted up to 1 business day or 24 hours in advance with a $10.00 fee based on availability and any cost difference between camps.
- Substitutions – a neighbor, cousin, sibling, etc. – are accepted up to first day of camp.
- If a camp is cancelled by Thanksgiving Point Institute due to low enrollment, all fees will be refunded.

Camp curriculum and lesson plans are geared toward the grade your child will be entering into in the Fall of 2023. If you have an older and a younger child you would like to be in the same camp we do allow older children to attend camps one grade lower.
Registration closes two weeks prior to the beginning of camp.
Camp sessions vary in price depending on grade, length of day, and days per week. Please check individual camp listings for price information.
- Lunch will not be provided for all full-day camps. Thanksgiving Point will provide snacks for all camps.
- If your child has an allergy, please make sure your medical form is up to date and any allergies are clearly communicated to staff. Depending on the allergy and severity, it may be best to send their own snacks from home.
Our camps promote independent learning and socialization opportunities for your child. If you feel your child is unable to remain in camp without you, it may be best to wait a year before you send them to camp.
