This policy was created to preserve the beauty, safety, and experience of Thanksgiving Point for all guests.
Unauthorized Photography is Prohibited
We welcome all guests to capture memories at Thanksgiving Point and offer thoughtfully designed photo opportunities throughout our venues and events. We encourage guests to share their experiences on social media and tag Thanksgiving Point (@thankspoint). To protect the integrity of our property and guest experience, all photography sessions—including those for personal use—require a paid Photo Pass and advance reservation. Same-day reservations are not available. Membership does not include photography session privileges. Thanksgiving Point is protected as an intellectual property and violations of this Policy could result in legal action.
Climbing on rocks, displays, water features, or other property is strictly prohibited. Guests must remain on designated pathways. Violation may result in removal from property and potential involvement of law enforcement. Wear your Photo Pass in a visible location so staff and security can easily verify it.
Casual photography (brief, spontaneous snapshots taken on a phone, without posing, props, or equipment) is welcome and does not require a Photo Pass. Please be considerate and do not disrupt the property, structures, or flow of traffic of our guests.
Definition: Photography Session
Any photo or video shoot—posed or candid, using any camera including mobile phones—with extended time, outfit changes, props, special attire, or equipment such as tripods, reflectors, lighting, or other gear—is considered a photography session. This includes personal events such as family portraits, graduation shoots, engagements, baptisms, or other formal sessions.
Guests are welcome to come dressed up to enjoy the property or attend an event—however, outfit changes, staged or lengthy portrait sessions, or shoots that involve props or gear are not permitted without a Photo Pass and reservation.
Commercial Use is Strictly Prohibited
Photography and videography for commercial, promotional, media, advertising, branding, portfolio, or resale purposes are strictly prohibited. This policy applies across all Thanksgiving Point venues and properties. This includes content intended for social media promotion, podcasts or audio recordings, student portfolios, business websites, music videos, influencer partnerships, or commercial products. Thanksgiving Point reserves the right to determine the intended use of any photography or videography and may take action accordingly.
Other Restrictions
- Drones are not permitted.
- All guests must be appropriately dressed—no costumes, swimwear, or revealing attire.
- Photography may not interfere with the guest experience, disrupt operations, or block pathways.
- Do not pick plants, climb on structures, or move garden features, benches, or signage.
Enforcement
Guests without a valid Photo Pass will be asked to leave. Security actively monitors all venues. Violation may result in removal from property and potential involvement of law enforcement. Each venue requires a Photo Pass for any photography on property.
Thanksgiving Point reserves the right to deny access, cancel reservations, or remove individuals not adhering to this policy. Thanksgiving Point is protected as an intellectual property and violations of this Policy could result in legal action.
